Trailhead Calendar Service Deactivation June 15, 2012

[28-Nov-2011] Calendar services in Trailhead will be deactivated on June 15, 2012
Due to increasing problems and support issues with calendar services in Trailhead, the portal calendar will be turned off on June 15, 2012.
People using calendars in Trailhead should move to another calendar application as soon as possible and before June 15, 2012.
If you are using calendar services in Trailhead, we have the following recommendations:
- Students are encouraged to use the calendar associated with their MyMail accounts.
- Faculty and staff are encouraged to use the calendar associated with their Exchange mail account.
- For groups who are using portal resouce calendars for equipment scheduling with students, staff and non-Mines users (for example, microscopes in the EM Lab), we recommend that you create Google Resource Calendars. Detailed instructions for resource calendar managers are available in FAQfinder Entry #122 (http://faqfinder.mines.edu/MRcgi/MRTicketPage.pl?USER=&MRP=0&PROJECTID=22&MR=123).
- For groups who are using portal resouce calendars for departmental room scheduling and only staff need write access to the calendar (for example, departmental conference rooms), we recommend that you request creation of Exchange resource calendars.
